RALEIGH – With his program seeking a third straight appearance in the NCAA Championship, third-year NC State head coach George Kiefer released the Wolfpack's 2019 season schedule on Thursday afternoon. The schedule features 10 home matches, one exhibition in Raleigh, and also includes meetings with six teams that qualified for the 2018 postseason.

Following an exhibition match at UNC (Aug. 18) and one at home vs. VCU (Aug. 24), the Wolfpack will open the 2019 regular season with three straight home contests at Dail Soccer Stadium: Loyola (Aug. 30), St. John's (Sept. 1), and Longwood (Sept. 6). A Sept. 10 visit to William & Mary is the only road match of the first six contests of the season, as the Wolfpack returns home to open ACC play against Boston College on Sept. 14 and host non-conference foe College of Charleston on Sept. 17.
Sept. 20 at Virginia begins a challenging stretch of matches that features five straight opponents with winning records in 2018 and four NCAA Championship participants. Following a match against the Cavaliers, NC State will play at Louisville on Sept. 27 before returning home to host Notre Dame (Oct. 4), East Tennessee State (Oct. 8), and Wake Forest (Oct. 11).
The Wolfpack will play three of its final five regular season matches away from home. Down the stretch, NC State will play at South Carolina (Oct. 15), Duke (Oct. 18), and Syracuse (Oct. 26) but will host Elon (Oct. 22) and Clemson (Nov. 1).
NC State achieved many milestones during the 2018 season. The team qualified for its second consecutive NCAA Championship for the first time since the 1991 and 1992 seasons. The Wolfpack earned its first NCAA Championship victory (Nov. 15 over Campbell) since 1994. NC State also posted an unbeaten 8-0-3 mark in Raleigh and recorded its first 10-win season since 2012.
