NC State Holds Steady in Top 10
TEMPE, Ariz. -- The NC State women's tennis team holds steady at the No. 10 spot in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings, as announced Tuesday. Anna Rogers, tabbed at No. 15, earns the highest singles ranking in program history for the Pack.

The team boasts a 19-3 (9-1) record. The No. 10 ranking is tied for the highest in program history in the poll, as the Pack's No. 10 ranking last week was a new program-best.

NC State has won nine straight matches and has defeated four ranked opponents over the last nine matches.

In singles, No. 15 Rogers has won nine of her last 10 matches. During that stretch, she has defeated three ranked opponents, including an impressive victory over second-ranked Estela Perez-Somarriba. Rogers is 26-10 on the season, including a 7-2 conference record on court one.

Four-time ACC Freshman of the Week Alana Smith checks in at No. 75 in the latest version of the rankings. In her 2019 campaign, Smith is 15-4 on court two, and has defeated four nationally ranked opponents. The Fort Washington, Md., native is currently on a seven-match winning streak.

Rounding out singles rankings for the Pack is No. 112 Adriana Reami. The Miami, Fla., native is 26-10 overall this season, and has tallied an 8-2 conference record. The junior has defeated four nationally ranked opponents.

In doubles, one NC State duo is featured: ninth-ranked Anna Rogers and Alana Smith. The two hold a 9-1 record against ranked opponents. Winning nine of the last 10 outings, they are on a seven-match winning streak.

The No. 10 NC State squad will be back in action on Friday, April 5 at 4 p.m. as it travels to No. 22 Wake Forest.
