Wallace Named College Sports Madness ACC Player Of The Week

RALEIGH - Junior pitcher Devin Wallace of the NC State softball team was named College Sports Madness ACC Player of the Week on Tuesday after picking up three of the team's six wins in the circle last week.
Wallace made four starts last week for NC State, going the distance in three of the games. She threw her first shutout of the year on March 2 in NC State's 8-0 (5) win against Campbell, not allowing a walk while striking out a season-high seven batters. She also fanned seven on March 1 in the team's 4-1 win over Kansas.

The Raleigh, N.C., native gave up two earned runs in 19 innings pitched for a .74 earned-run average, and struck out a combined 23 batters.Â
