ATLANTA – Kiara Leslie of the 10th-ranked NC State women's basketball team (26-5) is a Regional Finalist for the 2019 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-America Team, the organization announced today. Leslie is one of 52 candidates receiving consideration for the award.

Leslie has played a massive role in helping the Wolfpack secure a No. 3 seed in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. The graduate student has been recognized three times by the Atlantic Coast Conference this season, earning First Team All-ACC, All-ACC Defensive Team, and All-ACC Academic Team honors. She has started all 31 games of the season, averaging 33.1 minutes, 15.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per outing. Leslie has scored 10+ points in a single game 28 times, 20+ points in a game seven times, and 30+ points in a game on two occasions. In seven games against top-25 opponents this season, she is averaging 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.

The 2019 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America Team will be announced Thursday, April 4 during the WBCA Convention at Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida. Ten players will make the team.

Leslie and the Wolfpack open 2019 NCAA Tournament action as the No. 3 seed against Maine on Saturday, March 23. Tip-off from Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum is scheduled for 1 pm.
