
Pack Returns Home to Host No. 3 Virginia, Louisville

RALEIGH, N.C. – ACC action resumes for the 27th-ranked NC State men's tennis team as it welcomes a pair of conference opponents to the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center this weekend. The Pack (10-5, 1-0 ACC) will host third-ranked Virginia Friday at 5 pm. and will turn around to play against Louisville Sunday at 1 p.m.
MATCH PROMOTIONS:
Admission to all home matches is free. Fans who plan on attending Friday's match against Tennessee will need to obtain a virtual event permit to park in the West Deck or West Lot. A link to this free parking pass can be found here.

Virginia (Friday, March 15 – 5 p.m.)
Louisville (Sunday, March 17 – 1 p.m.)
PACK IN THE POLLS:
NC State reentered the top 30 of the Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Tennis Rankings this past week as it was tabbed No. 27 in the latest release of the poll. The Pack has been featured in every poll since it first jumped into the rankings on Jan. 30.
Junior Alexis Galarneau is currently No. 25 in the singles rankings after posting a 9-3 record through the first two months of the 2019 season. The Wolfpack junior has picked up five ranked victories on his season.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Pack enters the match coming off road losses to a pair of Big 12 opponents, as it fell to No. 30 Oklahoma State and No. 3 Texas last weekend.
SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS:
Virginia enters Friday's matchup as the No. 3 team in the nation, the second-highest ranked ACC squad behind second-ranked Wake Forest. The Cavaliers own an 11-2 record and a 2-1 mark in conference action.
Four Virginia players sit in the top 100 of the national singles – No. 15 Carl Söderlund, No. 15 Brandon Nakashima, No. 50 Ryan Goetz and No. 92 Gianni Ross. The Cavaliers duo of Nakashima and Henrik Wiersholm are ranked 71st in the nation in doubles.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS:
Louisville is 12-5 overall and 1-2 in conference play headed into the weekend. The Cardinals are not featured in the singles or doubles rankings but have an experienced squad that returned to compete this season. The Pack won last season's meeting between the squads with a 4-2 decision over the Cardinals.
UP NEXT:
After this weekend's matches, the Pack is set to host Wake Forest at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20 before hitting the road to take on Boston College (March 22) and Notre Dame (March 24).
