All five Wolfpack relays qualify for national meet
INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee announced its selection of swimmers who will compete at the 2019 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, and 11 Pack men qualified for the national meet.
In addition, the Wolfpack saw all five of its relays qualify to race at the NCAA Championships.
The Pack men continue postseason action after putting together a solid 2018-19 campaign leading up to the NCAA Championships. NC State went a perfect 6-0 in head-to-head competition and remained ranked in the top six of the national poll for the entirety of the season, the highest-ranked ACC team in the nation during this campaign.
NC State's men claimed their fifth straight and the program's 29th overall conference title at the 2019 ACC Championships. Every swimmer that competed for the Pack scored points for the team as NC State picked up a total of 17 podium finishes, including five gold medals. Junior Coleman Stewart was honored as ACC Meet Co-MVP, marking the third straight season that a swimmer from NC State has been awarded those honors.
The Wolfpack will now turn its attention to the 2019 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held March 27-30 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin.
A list of the selected swimmers and the events in which they qualified is below:
NC State's divers are currently in action at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships and will look to qualify for the national meet with their performances.
ESPN will provide linear coverage of the NCAA Championships with the Friday and Saturday finals on ESPNU. Wednesday and Thursday finals will be streamed live on ESPN3. All of the sessions that are not a part of ESPN's broadcasts will be streamed live at www.texassports.com.
