RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 21 NC State men's tennis team continues its nine-match home stint Saturday as it hosts South Carolina and North Carolina A&T at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The Wolfpack (5-1) will take on the Gamecocks at 1 p.m. and will match up against the Aggies at 6 p.m.
MATCH PROMOTIONS:

South Carolina (1 p.m.)
North Carolina A&T (6 p.m.)
LAST TIME OUT:
NC State picked up a pair of wins over North Florida and Winthrop last Saturday. The Pack beat the Ospreys by a 6-1 score and went on to take its second win of the day with a 7-0 sweep over the Eagles. The Pack easily won the doubles point in both matches, and NC State's decision over Winthrop marked the third time this season that the squad has swept its opponent this season.
PACK IN THE POLLS:
The Pack moved up four spots to check in at No. 21 in the Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Rankings. The team was also ranked in the Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top 25, where it was tabbed at No. 19.
After posting a perfect 5-0 record to start the season, Alexis Galarneau earned a spot in the top 50 of the singles rankings at No. 45. The Wolfpack junior has yet to drop a singles match this season and posted a win over a nationally-ranked opponent when he took down Georgia's then-No. 15 Emil Reinberg, the highest-ranked player that Galarneau has defeated in his NC State career.
STRENGTH AT HOME:
NC State is in the midst of nine straight home matches before hitting the road again to visit Oklahoma State and Texas in early March. The Pack enters Saturday's competition on an eight-match home winning streak. Under head coach Kyle Spencer, the Wolfpack has compiled a 13-3 overall record at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center over the past two seasons.
SCOUTING THE GAMECOCKS:
South Carolina is receiving votes in the national poll and comes into Saturday's match with a 5-1 record after three straight home sweeps.
The Gamecocks have a trio of ranked singles players, led by 16th-ranked Paul Jubb. Jubb won the singles title at the ITA Carolina Regional and reached the quarterfinal round of the ITA National Fall Championships. Daniel Rodrigues (No. 110) and Raphael Lambling (No. 114) are also ranked in the singles.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES:
North Carolina A&T is 0-5 on the season. The Pack has never dropped a match to the Aggies and has swept the team by a 7-0 score in each of its previous three meetings with North Carolina A&T.
UP NEXT:
NC State will continue action at home on Sunday, Feb. 17 as it welcomes Old Dominion to Raleigh. The match against the Monarchs is set for 1 p.m.
