Pack Earns Three Spots in ITA Rankings

Anna Rogers and Alana Smith Crack the Top 10 in Doubles
TEMPE, Ariz. -- The 14th-ranked NC State women's tennis team features one singles player and two doubles pairs in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings, as announced by the ITA on Wednesday.
Anna Rogers is tabbed as the 25th-ranked player. Rogers clinched the Pack's historic 4-3 win against 11th-ranked Florida, defeating No. 39 McCartney Kessler, 7-6 (4), 5-7, 6-4. Tallying eight wins against nationally-ranked singles opponents this season, Rogers leads the team in the category.

In doubles, Rogers and Alana Smith check in at No. 9, the second-highest doubles ranking in program history. Rogers and Claudia Wiktorin held the highest ranking in program history in February 2018 at No. 7, along with Sanaa Bhambri and Sandhya Nagaraj in January and February of 2011.Â

The pair is 16-1 overall in doubles play, and is undefeated against nationally-ranked doubles opponents (5-0). Ninth-ranked Rogers and Smith have not lost a match in dual season.
The rankings also feature doubles duo Bianca Moldovan and Liz Norman at No. 60. Moldovan and Norman have a 4-1 record in dual season.Â
