Wolfpack finishes ninth in the event
AKRON, Ohio – Freshman Emily Fisher headlined the NC State rifle team's showing at the 2019 Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) Championships this weekend, hosted by Akron inside the Stile Athletics Field House.
The Wolfpack finished ninth at the event with an aggregate score of 4622, while West Virginia won its 10th consecutive GARC Championship with a 4715.
NC State compiled a team score of 2341 in air rifle and a 2281 in smallbore to log its aggregate score.
Smallbore Notes
- Fisher turned in the Wolfpack's best score in the smallbore competition with a 580 to finish 10th.
- Senior Claire Spina fired a score of 575, while Will Marciniak and Claire Zanti each charted a mark of 563.
- Aron Tinter earned a score of 559 in smallbore and Tyler Lefebvre charted a 555.
- Zach Eisenberg rounded out NC State's shooters with a 550.
Air Rifle Notes
- In air rifle, Fisher led the Pack with a score of 588 to match her career-high.
- Tinter fired NC State's next-highest mark with a 586 and Eisenberg achieved a 584.
