Women's Tennis Checks in at No. 17 in Latest ITA Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The NC State women's tennis team checks in at No. 17 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Women's Rankings.

The Pack is 2-1 against ranked opponents at the time of competition this season with wins over No. 11 Florida and No. 20 Texas Tech. Competing at the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championship for the first time in program history, NC State lost a tight 4-2 match to No. 5 Georgia on Friday, Feb. 8. The Bulldogs went on to win the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championship title and now sit atop the rankings at No.1.

Anna Rogers is the 25th-ranked player in the nation and is also featured at No. 9 in the doubles rankings with Alana Smith. Bianca Moldovan and Liz Norman are tabbed at No. 60 in doubles.

In the Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top 25 Rankings announced Wednesday, NC State also sits at No. 17.

The 17th-ranked NC State women's tennis team will be back in action at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on Feb. 16 for a doubleheader with Utah and James Madison at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
