Wolfpack Finishes 5th in ACC, Will Host Tournament 1st Round Wednesday

RALEIGH – The NC State men's soccer team (8-5-3, 3-4-1 ACC) finished the 2019 regular season in fifth place of the Atlantic Coast Conference standings on Friday evening. The fifth-place finish in the league standings is the best mark achieved by the program since the 2005 team finished third.
The Wolfpack has earned the right to host the first round of the ACC Tournament against 12th-seeded Duke on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 2 pm. The match will be played at Dail Soccer Stadium in Raleigh and will be televised nationally on the ACC Network. Wednesday's match will mark the third consecutive season during which the Wolfpack has hosted the first round of the ACC Tournament in Raleigh, a streak that had never been achieved in prior program history.
The winner of Wednesday's match will travel to fourth-seeded Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers in the quarterfinal round at 3 pm on Sunday, Nov. 10.
