
Wolfpack Welcomes Boston College Saturday In Annual Pink Match

RALEIGH – NC State women's soccer (5-4-2, 0-1-2 ACC) returns home Saturday for a matchup with ACC opponent Boston College (8-2-1, 1-2-0 ACC) at Dail Soccer Stadium for its annual Pink Match, benefiting breast cancer awareness. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and the contest will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
The Eagles are receiving votes for this week's national polls.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State wrapped up a four-game road swing on Sunday evening with a 1-1 draw at Wake Forest.
Tziarra King gave the Pack an early 1-0 lead in the 36th minute with her ninth goal of the season and 44th of her career, then Hayley Younginer netted the equalizer from close range in the 62nd minute for the Demon Deacons.
The first overtime period was quiet for both teams, while the final 10 minutes consisted of a combined four yellow cards between the squads. King was close to putting away the golden goal in the 104th minute with a long strike that hit the right post.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday will be the 17th meeting between the programs, as the Eagles own a 13-3-0 advantage in the all-time series.
The teams last met on Oct. 17, 2018, in Chestnut Hill, Mass., and Boston College won, 2-0. Prior to that meeting, NC State has won the last two matchups (in 2016 and '17) by a score of 1-0.
SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
BC went undefeated in nonconference play, and its two losses have been to then-No. 6 Florida State and No. 22 Louisville. Both losses were by one goal.
Sam Smith leads the squad with eight goals and 17 points, while Olivia Vaughn and Gianna Mitchell have scored six and four goals, respectively.
Allie Augur and Maddie Murphy have split time in goal this season, combining for five shutouts. The pair has allowed a combined 11 goals and tallied 31 saves.
