Pack Competes in Pentathlon, Heptathlon at Texas Tech Classic

NC State posted two top-five totals in school history
LUBBOCK, Texas --Â The NC State men's and women's track and field teams kicked off the Texas Tech Classic on Thursday, competing in the pentathlon and heptathlon. In the pentathlon, Timara Chapman and Mikieja Covington posted top-five totals in school history.
Chapman recorded the second-best score in the NC State record books (3,538), while Covington's score (3,455) ranks fourth in school history. Both set personal-bests in the 60 meter hurdles.Â
Grant Rivers, the school record holder in the heptathlon (5,131), competed in four events on Thursday. He will conclude competition on Friday.
