GREENSBORO, N.C. – Gabriel Machado of the fourth-ranked NC State men's soccer team (4-0-0) has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
A junior midfielder for the Wolfpack, Machado scored two goals in two matches during the week, one in a 2-0 win at No. 2 Akron on August 27 and one in a 2-0 win over Presbyterian on Aug. 31. Both goals were match-winners.
