RALEIGH – The No. 16 NC State women's soccer team put together a dominant 6-0 performance on Sunday afternoon at Dail Soccer Stadium against Pittsburgh. Ricci Walkling and Michaella van Maanen each recorded a brace, while Anna Toohey and Hannah Keogh both found the back of the net once.
The Wolfpack improves to 8-2-1 (1-1 ACC) while the Panthers fall to 4-5-1 (0-3 ACC) on the season.
The team's six goals are the most since the program's season opener in 2016 against La Salle at the Wake Forest Invitational on Aug. 19, when the Pack won 6-1. It was the largest margin of victory since Sept. 5, 2010, when NC State defeated Loyola Maryland 6-0 at home, and the largest margin of victory over an ACC team since Oct. 21, 1994, when the Pack won 7-1 at Wake Forest.
