Pickrell, Terry Named to DoubleTree Classic All-Tournament Team

Wolfpack duo honored for strong weekend at SMU
DALLAS – Following a strong showing at the SMU DoubleTree Classic, NC State volleyball's Kylie Pickrell and Lauryn Terry have been named to the all-tournament team.

The Wolfpack turned in a 2-1 record over the weekend with wins against the host SMU Mustangs and Arkansas State, while the Pack fell to 15th-ranked Creighton.

Pickrell did an outstanding job running the NC State offense from her setter position, as she dished out 129 assists over the three matches, averaging 10.75 assists per set. In a return to her home state of Texas, the Coppell native tallied 43 assists in the first match of the weekend against SMU and 39 assists versus the Creighton Bluejays.

On Saturday, Pickrell notched her second double-double performance of the season, charting a season-high 47 assists and 17 digs. It marks the second consecutive weekend that she has been named to the all-tournament team.

For Terry, the all-tournament honor is the first of her career as she was a strong offensive and defensive force over the weekend. She tallied 22 kills over three matches with only three attacking errors to compile a .442 attacking percentage.Â

The Columbia, Md., native logged eight kills and a .368 hitting percentage against the Mustangs and four kills with a .333 attacking percentage versus Creighton. In the final match of the weekend, Terry put down 10 kills on 15 attempts with only one error in addition to five blocks on the defensive end.

NC State will return to action at home on Friday afternoon when the Wolfpack hosts Wright State. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. inside Reynolds Coliseum.
