August 29, 2018
RALEIGH – Associate head coach Jeff Negalha of the 17th-ranked NC State men's soccer team (2-0-0) has been named among the TopDrawerSoccer "Assistant Coaches to Watch" list, the publication announced recently.
From the article:
"The associate head coach at NC State, Negalha and head coach George Kiefer brought the ACC side back into the NCAA Tournament. A big part of that stemmed from the team's recruiting class, ranked No. 9 in 2017, which included several freshman impact players, such as Manny Perez, David Loera, David Norris, Brad Sweeney, and Leon Krapf. With the Wolfpack more of a known quantity now, there will be more pressure in the upcoming season."
Negalha was also recognized earlier this summer by College Soccer News as one of the top assistant coaches in the NCAA.
NC State returns to action with two consecutive home matches later this week. The Wolfpack will host Presbyterian on Friday, Aug. 31 and William & Mary on Monday, Sept. 3. Both matches will kick off at 7 pm from Dail Soccer Stadium on campus.
