Pair Of Former Golfers Qualify For U.S. Women’s Mid-Am

ASHEBORO, N.C. – Former NC State women's golfers Caroline Ellington (2019-14) and Courtney (Pomeranz) Stiles (2002-04) qualified for the United States Women's Mid Amateur over the weekend.
The two competed at the sectional qualifying site at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro, N.C., on Saturday. Ellington claimed medalist honors with a two-over par 74, while Stiles turned in an 80 (+8) to finish in a tie for fourth.
Five qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at the site. The championship will be held at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 22-27, 2018.
