Men's Golf Announces 2018-19 Competition Schedule

RALEIGH, N.C. – Coach Press McPhaul announced the 2018-19 tournament schedule for the NC State men's golf team on Friday.
This year's schedule includes features 11 tournaments, including the program annual fall tournament held at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
In addition to playing tournaments in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida, the Pack will also travel to Puerto Rico, Texas, Oregon, Arizona and Minnesota for competitions this coming season.
NC State will play four tournaments in the fall and will open up play at the Gopher Invitational in Independence, Minn. Two weeks later the Pack will travel to Scottsdale, Ariz., to play in the Maui Jim Intercollegiate.
The Pack will look to defend its tournament title at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate when it hosts its annual invitational held at its home course, Lonnie Poole on Oct. 6 and 7.
NC State will close the fall schedule with a trip to Dallas, Texas for the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate.
The spring schedule opens in February with the Pack heading to Ponte Vedra, Fla., to play at TPC at Sawgrass in the Sea Best Invitational. NC State will then travel to Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Classic.
The Pack plays in three tournaments in March and starts the month on the West Coast when it plays in the Bandon Dunes Championship in Bandon, Ore. Two weeks later the Pack returns to action in South Carolina when it plays in the Hootie at Bulls Bay. NC State closes the month in Florida when it plays in The Hayt.
For the second consecutive season, the Pack will close its regular season schedule in Cary as NC State will play in the Stitch Intercollegiate held at MacGregor Downs.
The ACC Championship will run April 18-20 and be held at the Old North State Club in New London, N.C.
NCAA Regional competition will be held May 13-15 and the NCAA Championship in Fayetteville, Ark., will run from May 24-29.
NC State won two team titles in McPhaul's first season at the helm of the program. The Pack returns everyone from last season's team that advance to the NCAA Championship, including ACC Player of the Year and All-American, Stephen Franken.
