Track & Field Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Status

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has named the NC State men's and women's track & field programs NCAA Division I All-Academic Teams, the organization announced Thursday. This is the first time since 2014 that both the men's and women's teams have earned All-Academic Team honors. In addition, eight NC State athletes received individual USTFCCCA All-Academic accolades.

To earn All-Academic Team distinction, a program must attain a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher. With a 3.16 team GPA, this is the second year in a row the women's team has been named an All-Academic Team. The men's team boasted a 3.02 team GPA to earn All-Academic Team honors for the first time since 2014.
Ryen Frazier, Elly Henes, Erika Kemp, and Bethany Neeley represented the NC State women as USTFCCCA All-Academic individual honorees. On the men's side, Josh Davis, Christopher Garrick, Gavin Gaynor, and Eli Moskowitz also claimed individual All-Academic awards.

Kemp leads the Pack as a six-time USTFCCCA All-Academic award recipient. On the women's side, Ryen Frazier, Elly Henes, and Bethany Neeley earned All-Academic accolades in back-to-back years, having been honored in 2017 as well. Eli Moskowitz was also awarded All-Academic honors in 2017.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
- For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
- For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
