Wolfpack Earns ITA All-Academic Awards

TEMPE, Ariz. – The NC State men's tennis team was honored as an ITA All-Academic Team for the 2017-18 season, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Tuesday. Michael Ogden and Collin Shick also earned individual recognition as ITA Scholar-Athletes.
The Wolfpack earns its second academic honor of the year after winning the Chancellor's Cup at the 2018 Wolfies for having the highest team GPA across all men's teams at NC State.
Ogden gained ITA Scholar-Athlete status for the second time in his career, having last won the award at the end of the 2015-16 season. He was also recognized for his academic success earlier this season when he earned a spot on the 2018 All-ACC Academic Team.
Shick ends his first season with the Wolfpack with the first academic honors of his career.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
