Zevnik, Glover to Represent Canada at Championship Events

EDMONTON, Alberta – After a weekend of competition at the 2018 Canadian Swimming Trials, NC State women's swimming alumna Alexia Zevnik punched her ticket to the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships where she will represent Canada.
Rising Wolfpack junior Mackenzie Glover also earned the opportunity to represent Canada as she was named to the team for the World Swimming Championships (25m).
A 13-time All-American at NC State, Zevnik placed second in the 100-meter freestyle at the Canadian Swimming Trials with a time of 55.07 to secure her spot on the Canadian Pan Pacific Championships team in the 4x100 meter freestyle relay.
Zevnik will be one of 32 swimmers to represent Canada at the Pan Pacific Championships, which will take place Aug. 9-14 in Tokyo.
Also competing at the meet, Glover took fourth in the 200-meter backstroke, clocking in at 2:12.78 in the finals. She became one of six swimmers to be named to the short-course World Swimming Championships, which is scheduled to be held Dec. 11-16 in Hangzhou, China.
