Rogers named All-ACC for second-straight year
ACC Release
GREENSBORO, N.C. - For the second time in program history, two from the NC State women's tennis team have been named to the All-ACC team as Anna Rogers and Adriana Reami earned the honors, announced by the league office Thursday morning.Â
Rogers, earning All-ACC honors for the second year in a row, along with Reami were both named to the All-ACC Third Team.
"This is great recognition for both Anna and Adriana for all of their hard work and improvement over the past 12 months," said head coach Simon Earnshaw. "Both have really stepped it up this year and raised their game several levels. Anna once again has been a huge contributor in both singles and doubles having been ranked almost the whole season nationally in both and carrying a tremendous workload at the top of the line-up. Adriana's doubles game has really come along quickly this season and although it took a little time to see the singles results reflected in the national rankings she has been extremely consistent from the first event back in the Fall through post season play. With their upperclassman years still ahead of them I'm very confident that there's still a lot more to come and we are in an excellent spot with the program in that regard."Â

Rogers has led the team in singles this season playing at the top position throughout the season, earning a 13-15 (4-9 ACC) record. The sophomore has been consistently featured in the Oracle/ITA ranking, currently being ranked No. 100. This is Roger's second All-ACC honor, making her one of five players in NC State history to receive multiple honors.Â
Reami, who was recently voted the team's MVP, moved into the Oracle/ITA singles rankings this season and currently sits at No. 108. Playing at the No. 2 position in singles, she has a record of 17-9 (7-9) ACC.
In doubles, Rogers has a 15-7 (5-4 ACC) record playing at No. 1 and is ranked No. 19 in the Oracle/ITA doubles rankings with Claudia Wiktorin. Reami has a 16-8 (8-4 ACC) doubles record playing at No. 2.
Rogers, Reami and the No. 36Â Wolfpack will begin action at the NCAA Tournament on May. 11 at 1:00 p.m. (ET) against No. 25 Baylor at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
