Pack Football Well Represented on Athlon Preseason All-ACC Team

Three members of the 2018 NC State offense have been named to preseason All-ACC team released by Athlon Sports today. In all, nine members of Dave Doeren's sixth Wolfpack squad were named to the list, the third-highest total in the ACC behind Clemson and Florida State.
Quarterback Ryan Finley, who leads all returning ACC signal callers with 6,577 career passing yards, headlines the group. Finley is the only returning quarterback in the nation who compiled 3,500+ passing yards, 20+ total touchdowns, less than eight turnovers, and a completion percentage higher than 65% last season. He is the only returning P5 player who will already have a master's degree when the 2018 campaign opens.
Junior wideout Kelvin Harmon was also named to the first-team. Last season, Harmon became the first Pack receiver since 2003 to go over the 1,000 yard mark and he posted six 100-yard games. The Palmyra, N.J., native ranks fifth among returning ACC receivers in career receptions (96) and yards per game.
Finley and Harmon were named 2018 Players to Watch earlier this spring by the Touchdown Club of Columbus.
Joining Finley and Harmon on the Athlon first-team squad is senior tackle Tyler Jones. Jones has played every offensive snap in the Wolfpack's last 20 ACC contests, dating back to the 2015 season. A veteran of 32 career starts, Jones is tied among returning ACC tackles with fewest pressures allowed (14), according to Pro Football Focus.
Garrett Bradbury, who is entering his third season as a starter and his second at center was named to Athlon's second-team preseason squad, while guard Terronne Prescod was named to the third team. Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers got a fourth-team mention.
On the defensive side of the ball, senior end Darian Roseboro, who ranks fourth among returning ACC players in sacks, was on the third team, while linebacker Germaine Pratt and safety Jarius Morehead were on the fourth team.
