Evans, Rivers Conclude Regular Outdoor Season At Liberty Twilight

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The NC State track and field team wrapped up its regular season slate as Lauren Evans and Grant Rivers competed at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier Wednesday.
Evans kicked off the day by picking up her second shot put win of the season. She led the field with a 49' 9.25" (15.17m) throw.
Rivers was in action in both track and field events Wednesday afternoon. On the track, Rivers clocked a 15.70 in his 110m hurdles preliminary heat to qualify for the finals. The Wolfpack senior went on to place fifth in the final with a time of 15.52.
He also competed in the shot put, marking the first time this season that he has seen action in the event outside of the decathlon. He placed 11th with a 38' 3.25" throw.
UP NEXT:
NC State will begin its postseason next week as it heads to the 2018 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will be hosted by Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. from May 10-12.
