No. 38 Women’s Tennis Earns Selection to NCAA Tournament for Third-Consecutive Year

NC State to play No. 26 Baylor

RALEIGH - The No. 38 NC State women's tennis team is headed to Los Angeles for the NCAA tournament where it will face No. 26 Baylor in the first round of competition, as announced Tuesday evening during the 2018 Women's NCAA Selection Show.
The Wolfpack's match will take place on May 11 and is set to be held at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
From the Coach
No. 26 Baylor have a record of 17-13 overall and 4-5 in the Big 12. The Bears most recently played in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament, falling 4-1 to Big 12 Champion No. 6 Texas.
This marks NC State's ninth overall tournament appearance and third consecutive berth under head coach Simon Earnshaw. NC State hold a record of 17-7 and 7-7 in ACC play; it's seven ACC wins tie a program-best.
With a win over the No. 26 Baylor the Pack would take on the winner of No. 13 UCLA and Fresno State in the second round. Teams advancing to the Sweet 16 will meet in Winston-Salem, N.C. from May 18-22 to conclude the team championship.
