No. 22 Wolfpack Earns NCAA Tournament Bid

INDIANAPOLIS - For the first time since 2015, the NC State men's tennis team has been selected to compete in the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships. The Wolfpack (17-8) will head to the Texas (Austin) Regional to take on California (11-9) in the first round on Friday, May 11 at 2 p.m. ET.

A win over the Bears would advance the Wolfpack to the second round, where it would face the winner of the match between No. 11 seed Texas and Bryant on Saturday, May 12 at 4 p.m. EST. All matches are set to be played at the Texas Tennis Center.
The selection marks NC State's eighth overall NCAA Tournament appearance.
In head coach Kyle Spencer's first season at the helm, the Wolfpack has seen tremendous success. Since entering the Oracle/ITA team rankings for the first time this season on Feb. 20, NC State has remained in the top 30 for ten consecutive weeks and has found itself ranked in the top 25 for nine of those weeks.
Leading up to the NCAA Tournament, NC State matched up against 13 opponents that find themselves ranked as of the latest release of the team rankings. The team finished the regular season with a 16-7 record, posting its best win percentage since the 2012 season when it went 19-8 in the regular season.

First and second round NCAA Tournament matches will take place at campus sites across the nation, and teams that advance to the Sweet 16 will meet in Winston-Salem, N.C. from May 18-22 to finish the team championship.
The singles and doubles championships will also be played in Winston-Salem from May 23-28 following the conclusion of team competition, with the qualifiers set to be released Wednesday.
