Along with qualifying for the NCAA Championships, Brady also breaks program record
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — NC State's diver ended the NCAA Zone B Championships on a high-note as James Brady and Madeline Kline qualified for the NCAA Championships on platform while Brady also set a new program record Wednesday inside the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
From the Coach
"Today was an outstanding day for us," said diving coach Yahya Radman. "We started off with a very solid performance from all four guys in this morning's prelims. They all came back and dove again in the final which I was very impressed and proud of. James dominated in the prelim by breaking our school recording then going back in the final and re-setting the school record again, breaking 400.00. It was an amazing accomplishment to witness.
I'm very thankful to have had Harry with us for the past four years. He's helped build this program, four years ago we didn't have anyone at Zones and we sure didn't have four finalists on tower that saw James punch his ticket to NCAA's.
In the afternoon in the women's, we had some ups and downs but at the end of the day Madeline came and fought tooth-and-nail. She clawed her way into one of the coveted NCAA spots. I think she can suprize some people once we get there, it's been a breakout year for Madeline and I'm very excited about the future and what's to come.
I personally could not be more excited as this is the first time in my career that I've had two of my own athletes make it to NCAA's. I'm very fortunate to have a phenomenal staff, team and people who believe in our system and what we are doing, obviously it works. I am very fortunate to be in the situation we are in."
