@PackWrestle Qualifies Nine for 2018 NCAA Championships

Over the last three seasons, NC State has qualified 27 of the 30 starters
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State wrestling team will be sending nine of its 10 starters to next week's 2018 NCAA Championships the NCAA announced this afternoon. National seeds and brackets will be announced tomorrow at 6 p.m., and the 2018 NCAA Championships take place in Cleveland March 15-17.

NC State had a school-record nine automatic qualifiers based off their finishes at this past weekend's ACC Championship.

The Pack will send a lineup to the 2018 NCAA Championships that is a mix with both previous NCAA trips and first timers. Kevin Jack (141 pounds) and Pete Renda (184) will both be making their fourth trips to the NCAA Championships in their final campaigns.

R-Jr. Sean Fausz (125) will be making his third straight strip, while redshirt senior Michael Macchiavello (197) will be making his second straight and second in his career. Fellow senior Michael Boykin will be making his second trip, but his first since 2016 and his first at heavyweight.

In his final campaign, R-Sr. Beau Donahue (149) will be making his first trip to the NCAAs, while he will be joined by fellow first-timers in redshirt-freshmen: Tariq Wilson (133), Hayden Hidlay (157), and Daniel Bullard (174).
