Women's Tennis Moves Up to No. 42 in Oracle/ITA Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – The NC State women's tennis team moved up to No. 42 in the Oracle/ITA team rankings while Anna Rogers and Claudia Wiktorin were again featured in the doubles and singles rankings, as announced by the organization Tuesday.
Since last week's Oracle/ITA team rankings were released NC State has earned a 1-1 record. On Mar. 16 it defeated No. 30 Florida State 4-3 then it fell to No. 19 Miami 5-2 on Mar. 18.
Doubles
Claudia Wiktorin & Rogers landed at No. 18 in the doubles rankings. Since the most recent doubles rankings came out on Mar. 6 the duo have earned a 2-1 record as they picked up a pair of wins on Mar. 9. They defeated No. 49 Okalahoma's Jasmine Asghar and Christiana Brigante 6-2 and South Dakota's Jana Lazaervic and Anastasia Bondarenko 6-1 at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida.
Singles
Both Rogers and Wiktorin were featured in the singles rankings; Rogers was tabbed at No. 65 and Wiktorin at No. 107. Since the most recent rankings on Mar. 6 Rogers earned a 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 win over South Dakota's Jana Lazareivc on Mar. 9. Wiktorin also picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win over South Dakota's Habiba Aly on Mar. 9
