COLUMBUS, Ohio. — The NC State women's swimming & diving team began competition strongly at the NCAA Championships as Hannah Moore earned All-America honors for the third-consecutive year in the 500 freestyle while Ky-lee Perry, Krista Duffield, Lexie Lupton & Elise Haan were named Honorable Mention All-America in the 200 freestyle relay Thursday inside the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
From the Coach
"Solid start to the meet of our women," said head coach Braden Holloway. "We were able to get some solid points on the board in a few races today. Our 500 freestyles were really good and Hannah Moore adding another All American Stat to her list is a great way for the senior to end her career in that event. Our newcomers Anna Jahns and Tamila Holub were outstanding in their first NCAA appearances. Our relay slipped little at night but we got a strong swim in the morning to score points. We welcomed back Ky-lee Perry from injury today and she battled hard for her team. Tomorrow we are back in the action with the 400 IM, 100 backstroke and the 200 medley relay. We need to be ready in the morning to earn scoring opportunities at night."
