NC State Rifle Places Six on CRCA Scholastic All-America Team

Wolfpack student-athletes honored for academic performance
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State rifle team had six student-athletes garner a spot on the 2018 Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholastic All-America Team, as announced by the organization.

Zach Eisenberg, Kendra Jacobs, Derya Pekari, Lauren Phillips, Claire Spina and Claire Zanti collected the honor, which is given annually to student-athletes that have achieved a 3.2 grade point average or better.
Â
Graduate student Phillips and senior Pekari collect the honor for the fourth time in their collegiate careers, while Spina earns the award for the third time. Eisenberg and Zanti each secured their second consecutive Scholastic All-America honor and Jacobs achieved her first mention.

The Wolfpack has had at least four student-athletes claim the award in each of the past four seasons.

NC State finished the 2017-18 season with an 11-7 overall record and had an individual advance to the NCAA Championships for the third consecutive year, as Phillips finished 12th in the smallbore competition at the event.
