NC State Wraps Up Day Two at Carolina College Nike Invite

DURHAM, N.C. – Select members of the #5/10 NC State swimming team wrapped up the second day of competition at the Janis Hape Dowd Carolina College Nike Invitational Saturday inside the Taishof Aquatic Pavillion.
The day was highlighted by Elise Haan breaking the pool record in the 200 freestyle after she touched the wall at 1:47.47 seconds and finished first in her prelim. Haan's time was also an NCAA 'B' standard qualifying time.
Including Haan in the 200 freestyle, the Wolfpack earned seven NCAA 'B' cuts on the day.
Olivia Fisher and Anna Shumate posted times of 1:02.32 seconds and 1:02.43 seconds in the 100 breaststroke to finish first and second in their prelim. Jacob Johnson finished the 200 freestyle in 1:37.18 seconds, finishing first in his prelim, while Jabari Bapitste earned a time of 48.01 in the 100 backstroke to also take first in his prelim. Patrik Schwarzenbach won the prelim of his 100 breaststroke in 55.20 and Mason Revis competed in and won the final 400 IM in 3:51.27 seconds.
