#37 NC State Falls to #8 Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, Texas – Playing its second match of the weekend, the #37 NC State women's tennis team suffered a 4-0 setback to #8 Texas Tech Sunday at the Lubbock Country Club.

The match was initially scheduled for 1 p.m. (ET) but was pushed forward to 11 a.m. (ET) and indoors due to inclement weather.

Playing at No. 1, Bianca Moldovan was impressive as she held a 6-5, 3-2 lead over #7 Gabriela Talaba until the match went unfinished in the second set. At No. 2 Taylor Bridges fell 6-1, 6-3 to #41 Felicity Maltby and at No. 4 Amanda Rebol was defeated by #72 Sarah Dvorak 6-1, 6-2. Tayla Stenta's match at No. 3 against Sabrina Federici went unfinished in the second set; she was down 2-6, 3-4.
