Pack Opens Competition At #ACCITF Championships

ACC Championships Day One Results
CLEMSON, S.C. - The NC State track and field team completed its first day of action at the 2018 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships Thursday evening, running in both the men's and women's DMR races at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex. After those races, the men are currently in sixth place with three points, and the women sit in 11th with two points.
The women's DMR team of Dominique Clairmonte, Jada Griffin, Bethany Neeley, and Elly Henes placed seventh in the DMR, earning two team points for the Pack women on day one. Their 11:22.96 time was good for the fifth-fastest time in school history.
The men took sixth in the event. Philip Hall, Abdur Rahmaan Kelly, Tim Bason, and Joe Bistritz clocked a time of 9:45.69 to score three points for the men's team. Their time also moved into the NC State record book, putting the group at seventh in school history.
NC State will be back in action tomorrow at the ACC Championships with a full slate of events, beginning with the men's high jump at 11:45 a.m.
Tomorrow's action will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra beginning at 3:30 p.m.
