Women's Swimming & Diving, Men's Diving Set For ACC Championships

RALEIGH - After recently wrapping up its regular season, the NC State women's swimming and diving team and the men's diving team will travel to Greensboro, North Carolina, to compete at the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championships, which will run from Feb. 14-17. The meet will be held inside the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
The four-day championship meet will begin Wednesday with the women's one-meter dive prelim at 10 a.m. followed by the men's three-meter prelim at 1 p.m. The 200 medley relay will commence at 4:15 p.m. and the 800 freestyle relay begins at 5:20 p.m. Diving finals will also run throughout the afternoon.

Thursday through Saturday, prelims will begin at 10 a.m. and finals will commence at 6 p.m, women's and men's diving also scheduled for each day. Finals sessions Thursday through Saturday will be available on the ACC Network Extra.

Season Rewind
NC State finished the 2017-18 season with a 2-1 record against ACC competition. The Wolfpack opened its season on Oct. 20, 2017 with a 185.50-103.00 victory over Duke inside the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center. NC State suffered a 178-117 road setback against Virginia on Jan. 19 but bounced back to defeat UNC-Chapel Hill 164-136 on Jan. 26.
Scouting the Competition
Only #7 Virginia earned a higher ranking than the #10 Wolfpack in the latest TYR/CSCAA poll.
Rounding out the ranked ACC teams is #14 Louisville, #18 North Carolina-Chapel Hill, #19 Notre Dame and #25 Duke. Virginia Tech also received votes.
2017 ACC Championship Recap
In 2017 the NC State women's swimming & diving team captured its first ACC Championship since 1980. In total, the team won four individual titles, four relay titles and had 21 top-eight finishes.
After four days of competition, the team finished with 1,183.5 points, Virginia placed second with 1,100.5 points and Louisville rounded out the top three of the team standings with 1,027 points.
This Time Out
The Wolfpack enters the meet with 26 top-16 times, 16 of which are seeded in the top-eight of competition including all five relays.

Madeline Kline and Bailey Revels will compete on the one and three-meter boards along with platform while on the men's side James Brady, Holt Gray and Stewart Spanbauer will also compete on each of the three boards.
