RALEIGH- The NC State women's tennis team had a successful home opener as it defeated Appalachian State 6-1 and Campbell 7-0 Saturday at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.

Today's performance saw NC State move to 3-3 on the season along with 14-0 all-time against the Mountaineers and 5-1 all time against the Camels.

NC State vs. Appalachian State:
While Bianca Moldovan & Helene Grimm defeated Emily Gaskins & Sandra Anglesjo 6-1 at the No. 2 position, the Mountaineers won at both the first and third flights to take the doubles point.

The Pack bounced back in singles as it won all six of its matches without dropping a set; Anna Rogers overcame Maria Jose Zacarias 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 1 position, Helen Grimm defeated Taylor Bygrave at No. 3 6-2, 6-3, Adriana Reami followed with up with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Teodora Sevo at No. 2 and Bianca Moldovan earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 4 over Heidi Swope. Tayla Stenta and Taylor Bridges concluded the match with wins at No. 5 and No. 6; Stenta beat Emily Gaskins 6-1, 6-1 and Bridges defeated Sandra Anglesjo 6-1, 6-0.

NC State vs. Campbell
NC State performed strongly in doubles against the Camels; Amanda Rebol & Adriana Reami defeated Ana Castillo & Georgina Segarra 6-3 at the No. 2 position while at No. 3 Bianca Moldovan & Helene Grimm earned a 6-0 win over Alexandra Nicoara & Pauline Roustan.

The Pack likewise impressed in singles as Rogers won at No. 1, defeating Alexandra Andrivot 6-3, 6-4. Reami earned a 6-3, 6-1 win at the No. 2 position over Ana Castillo, Moldovan defeated Lou Regen 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3, Grimm earned her second singles win of the day at No. 4 overcoming Nicoara 6-4, 7-5 and Bridges was dominant in her 6-1, 6-0 win over Cutura at No. 6. Rebol capped the day off at No. 5, defeating Pauline Roustman 6-3, 7-5.
