#9 Wolfpack Remains Perfect with 30-Point Win over Davidson

NC State concludes non-conference schedule with a 13-0 record

RALEIGH – The ninth-ranked NC State women's basketball team (13-0) concluded the non-conference portion of the 2018-19 regular season with a spotless 13-0 record by defeating visiting Davidson 75-45 Sunday afternoon on Kay Yow Court inside James T. Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum.
The 13-0 start to the season remains NC State's best unbeaten start to a campaign since the 1999-2000 team began the year 14-0.
With the game tied 27-27 at the half, NC State absolutely dominated the third quarter, outscoring Davidson 24-9 to take a 51-36 advantage into the game's final 10 minutes. The Wolfpack shot 10-20 (.500) from the field during the third quarter while limiting the Wildcats to a paltry 3-15 (.200).
NC State matched this scoring rate during the fourth quarter, once again outscoring Davidson 24-9 to close out the 75-45 win.
Aislinn Konig led all players with 17 points on 7-13 shooting. She was joined in double figures by Kiara Leslie (13 points). Grace Hunter pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds to go along with her nine points while senior DD Rogers and freshman Elissa Cunane each grabbed eight rebounds.
Davidson was led by 16 points from Justine Lyon. After scoring 14 in the first half, she was held to just two in the second on 1-3 shooting. Kelly Fitzgerald joined her in double figures with 10 points.
Postgame Notes
-Sunday's win was head coach Wes Moore's 125th at NC State (125-52).
-NC State now leads the series with Davidson 8-1. The Wolfpack is 6-0 against the Wildcats in Raleigh.
-The Wolfpack has now won 27 consecutive non-conference games at home and is 39-4 at home since the renovation of Reynolds Coliseum.
-By going 3-6 beyond the arc, Konig extended her streak of games with a made three-pointer to 46 in a row. This is the second longest active streak in the nation.
-Sunday's game marked the first time NC State had been tied at halftime all season.
-At 18-64 (.281), Davidson is the 13th consecutive team to shoot .393 or lower from the field against NC State.
-NC State collected 50 rebounds or more (51) for the third time this season on Sunday.
