Held Part of World Record-Setting Mixed 200M Free Relay Team at World Championships

HANGZHOU, China – Ryan Held was a part of his second world record in as many days at the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) as he swam as a member of the United States' winning 4x50-meter mixed freestyle relay squad.
The Wolfpack swimming alumnus swam the second leg of the relay in 20.60 following an impressive lead-off split from Caeleb Dressel. Mallory Comerford and Kelsi Dahlia closed out the relay strong as the team touched the wall in a world record time of 1:27.89.
Held's performance in the relay came after a solid first day of action at the World Championships, during which he and the Team USA men set a new world record in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay in 3:03.03. Held has now been a part of two gold medals for the United States at the international meet.
