Reenan Named ACC Wrestler of the Week for Second Time

Nation’s #5 ranked 184-pounder scored pin in dual vs. Appalachian State

RALEIGH, N.C. – For the second time this season, NC State R-So. Nick Reenan has been named the ACC Wrestler of the Week.

In the Wolfpack's 29-9 win over Appalachian State last week, Reenan scored a first period pin over Alan Clothier, a 2018 NCAA Qualifier. Reenan scored the bout's first takedown early in the bout, then scored a second takedown with a headlock which he converted to a pin at the 1:02 mark.

He know has three pins in his six wins this season.

Reenan also won the weekly award after a top-10 win on Nov. 13.

NC State now has three ACC Wrestlers of the Week through the first six weeks of the season. Reenan's two awards, and classmate Hayden Hidlay was named for the first week of the season back on November 6.
