RALEIGH – NC State swimming sophomore Tamila Holub and Wolfpack swimming alumnus Ryan Held are set to begin competition at the 14th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), which will take place Dec. 11-16 in Hangzhou, China.
Held will be representing the United States after being selected to the lineup earlier this fall. He is one of 13 Olympic gold medalists to highlight USA Swimming's roster. Holub will be in action as a member of Portugal's roster.
Both Held and Holub bring a wealth of international swimming experience into the meet, as both competed for their respective countries at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. It was at those Games that Held won a gold medal as a part of the United States' wining 4x100-meter freestyle relay team.
