RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State freshman PK Christopher Dunn was named the ACC Specialist of the Week after his performance in the Pack's 47-28 win over Florida State this past weekend.
In the home win over the Seminoles, Dunn was perfect on the day accounting for 17 points, 4-of-4 on field goals and 5-of-5 on extra points. He converted the most field goals for a Wolfpack placekicker since Nikolas Sade also had four against North Carolina in 2013.
Dunn currently ranks third in the ACC in scoring with 9.0 points per game. He also ranks third in the ACC, and ninth in the FBS, with 1.75 field goals per game. On the season he is 14-of-17 on field goals, second-best mark in the ACC, and a perfect 25-of-25 on extra points.
He now has connected on more field goals than any freshman kicker in school history, crushing Sade's previous rookie record of 11 in 2011.
