No. 15 Rifle Concludes Fall Slate at Top-Ranked West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The 15th-ranked NC State rifle team concluded the fall portion of its dual match slate with a score of 4638 against the top-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers Saturday afternoon inside the WVU Shell Building.

The Mountaineers fired a team score of 4690 thanks to a 2328 in smallbore and a 2362 in air rifle. The Wolfpack charted a 2295 in smallbore and a 2343 in air rifle to log its aggregate score of 4638.

NC State moves to 3-4 on the year and 2-4 in Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) matches, while West Virginia remains unbeaten with a 10-0 overall record and a 5-0 ledger in conference action.

Smallbore Notes
- Will Marciniak led the Wolfpack in the smallbore event with a score of 576 to finish sixth among the individual standings.
- Claire Spina finished right behind him with a 575 and Kendra Jacobs notched a score of 574.
- Claire Zanti fired a 570 with a 99 on her first series in prone, while freshman Emily Fisher tallied NC State's lone perfect series in smallbore with a flawless first prone series.
- Aron Tinter logged a mark of 551 and Zach Eisenberg, Tyler Lefbvre each registered a 544.

- Fisher and Jacobs each achieved a score of 587 with Fisher tallying two series of 99 and Jacobs putting together three.
- Headlined by a perfect second series, Spina fired a score of 585.
- Zanti earned a 584 and Tinter rounded out the Wolfpack's counting shooters with a 582.
- Marciniak and Lefebvre also saw action in air rifle, logging scores of 578 and 573, respectively.
- Eisenberg notched a score of 567.
