Â
Traveling to East Lansing, Mich. on Saturday, Jan. 5, NC State will officially start its season against Michigan State. The team will open its home slate against Ohio State on Jan. 12. The Buckeyes finished third at the NCAA Regional in Columbus, Ohio. At the NCAA Regional, Ohio State scored a 196.500, which is the best score at a NCAA Regional in program history. On Jan. 18., the Pack will travel to Towson, Md. to take on the Tigers. Seven of Towson's gymnasts earned All-EAGL honors in the 2017-18 season. Rounding out the month on Jan. 25, the Pack will make the short trip to Chapel Hill, N.C., to compete against the Tar Heels.
Â
One of the highlights of the Wolfpack's schedule will be the meet at LSU on Feb. 1. The Tigers are defending SEC Champions and finished fourth at the NCAA Championship Finals in St. Louis, Mo. last year. To get to the Super Six, LSU started its postseason campaign at the NCAA Regional in Raleigh, N.C., hosted by NC State, finishing first with a score of 197.675. The only team that outscored them in a meet all season was the eventual NCAA Women's Gymnastics National Champions, UCLA.
Â
Â
After a three-meet road stint, NC State will return home Feb. 9 to face Pittsburgh. The Panthers finished fifth at the EAGL Championships and finished fifth at the NCAA Regionals in Columbus, Ohio. The Pack will then play host to UNC on Feb. 16.Â
Â
Â
The team's first tri-meet will take place at home on Friday, Feb. 22 with William & Mary and Western Michigan. William & Mary finished second at the ECAC Championships; Western Michigan set 12 team school records and 12 individual school records last season. On Sunday, Feb. 24, NC State will travel to Kent, Ohio to compete against Kent State. Kent State finished sixth at the NCAA Regional in Columbus, Ohio, last season.
Â
Â
The Wolfpack will start off the month of March on the road against conference foe New Hampshire on Mar. 2. The Wildcats placed second to the Wolfpack at the EAGL Championships last season and went on to place fourth at the NCAA Regional in University Park, Md.Â
Â
Â
Saturday, Mar. 9, the Pack will play host to George Washington, Texas Woman's, and Arizona. George Washington finished third at the EAGL Championships and finished fifth at the NCAA Regional hosted by NC State. Texas Woman's had two individuals compete at the NCAA Regional in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Â
Â
The Wolfpack will conclude regular season competition in Morgantown, W. Va., at West Virginia with Ohio State and Penn State. The Mountaineers finished sixth at the NCAA Regional in University Park, Md., last season.
Â
Â
NC State will look to win its second straight EAGL Championship on Saturday, Mar. 23 in Durham, N.H. If the Wolfpack is selected, it will compete at the NCAA Regional Tournament, a three-day competition, at a site to be announced. Should NC State place in the top two at the end of NCAA Regionals, they would compete at the NCAA Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas.
