
Wolfpack Falls at Clemson

Clemson, S.C. — In the battle of the unbeatens on Saturday, #16 NC State took on #3 Clemson at Death Valley. The Wolfpack suffered its first loss of the season, 41-7, moving to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in ACC play.
Clemson was the first to strike with a 57-yard opening drive, scoring on a three-yard rushing touchdown by Travis Etienne.
Tee Higgins scored on a 46-yard pass from Trevor Lawrence late in the first quarter to increase the Pack deficit, 14-0.
The first spark of the game came for the Wolfpack with 5:41 in the second quarter. Larrell Murchison recovered a fumble at the NC State 16-yard line during a fake field goal attempt by Clemson on fourth & one.
The Wolfpack offense was shut out in the first half for the first time this season and trailed at half, 24-0.
NC State scored on a nine-yard rushing touchdown by Reggie Gallaspy, Jr. in the first play of the fourth quarter. The 10 play, 75-yard drive closed the gap on the Tigers, as the Pack trailed 31-7.
Clemson answered in the fourth quarter with a field goal and a touchdown.
