STRAIGHT FROM THE PACK: COACH SIMON EARNSHAW
"It was a long day at the courts today as expected and credit to the team, every one of them fought every step of the way. I'm very encouraged by our unity, our hunger to compete and to see some reinforcement for that commitment. Possibly beating the top seeds in both the singles and doubles draws today flatters us a little, but at the same time we'll take it. Adriana & Amanda have been close several times and today they weren't going to be denied coming up with a great top 10 win against NCAA Doubles Quarterfinalists from last season. This was Liz's first real opportunity and she stepped up most impressively, coming up with a huge top-15 win over a great player. Every match in this event is an opportunity; it's loaded with ranked players and speaks volumes for this region. There were many positive takeaways from the day up and down our line-up, though we are still early in the event but have big goals. We're excited for tomorrow's match-ups and will get after it once again in the morning. Go Pack!!"
