Krapf and Loera Earn ACC Player of the Week Honors

Weekly honor is Krapf’s second of the season

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Leon Krapf and David Loera of the NC State men's soccer team earned Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. Krapf was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week and Loera earned Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, splitting the recognition with Daryl Dike of Virginia.
Krapf recorded two shutouts and made five total saves in wins at Longwood (2-0) and vs. No. 1 UNC-Chapel Hill (1-0). The sophomore goalkeeper has registered seven shutouts this season while maintaining a goals against average (GAA) of 0.81 and a save percentage of 0.784. He ranks fourth nationally in shutouts and 38th nationally in GAA.
Loera scored two of the Wolfpack's three goals this past week. He registered five shots, one match-winning goal, and one assist in the win at Longwood before scoring the Wolfpack's match-winning goal against the Tar Heels. He has started all 13 of NC State's matches this season and leads the team with six assists.
