Wolfpack Closes Out Play At Tar Heel Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The NC State women's golf team concluded play at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational on Sunday at Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill, N.C., finishing 13th of 18 teams with a combined 899 (+35) after posting an 11-over par 299 in the final round.
Duke captured the team title with a 14-under par 850, while Virginia (856, -8) and Arkansas (859, -5) rounded out the top three of the team standings.
Laura Kowohl fired a one-under 71, shaving seven strokes off of Saturday's round to finish in a tie for 39th with a 223 (+7). India Clyburn turned in a 77 (+5) to settle for a tie for 43rd and a combined score of 224.
Naomi Ko and Lea Klimentova shared a tie for 65th with a three-day total of 229 (+13), as Ko shot an 83 (+11) and Klimentova posted a 74 for her best round of the tournament. Mim Sangkapong additionally finished T81st with a 234 after shooting a 77 in the final round.
The team returns to action Oct. 26-28 when it closes out its fall season at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C.
