Babelis comes to the Wolfpack from Vilnius, Lithuania. He brings a wealth of tennis experience, having captured a singles national title in every juniors age group. Babelis has represented Lithuania as a member of its Davis Cup team since 2015, and he has also shown success on the ITF Futures Tour, earning a career-high singles ranking of 1316 and career-high doubles ranking of 1087.

"Tadas is a high-level player with loads of international experience, having played Davis Cup for Lithuania," said head coach Kyle Spencer. "He is a multiple National Champion in every age group in the juniors and has started to make big strides on the ITF Futures Tour. We are excited that he chose NC State to further his professional tennis aspirations. In the recruiting process, it was apparent that Tadas was a great fit for our team. He has a wonderful spirit about him and will be a fantastic teammate."

"We are excited about Robert and his background as a tennis player and person," said Spencer. "He comes to NC State with a high-level tennis background after being Slovak National Champion in singles and doubles and representing Slovakia at the European Championships. Through the recruiting process, he has shown that he is a diligent, hard-working person who is a very good tennis player but an even better person."
NC State opens its 2018 slate on Saturday, Jan. 13 as it hosts a doubleheader against Gardner-Webb and Winthrop.
