Wolfpack Divers to Compete at Tennessee Invitational
1/2/2018 11:08:00 AM | Swimming
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State swimming & diving team returns to competition in 2018 with select members of the diving team in action at the Tennessee Diving Invitational from Jan. 3-5 in Knoxville, Tennessee, at the Jones Aquatic Center.
Wednesday and Thursday's events are slated to begin at 11:30 a.m., while Friday is set for an 11 a.m. start. There will be a finals session for only the one and three-meter competitions, and the top 12 from prelims will advance to the finals.
"I'm very eager to see what our team can accomplish with the training that they've had up to this point," said diving coach Yahya Radman. "I like this meet because it gives us a little break after some intensive competition, but gives us some time to refocus and see where we are leading up to the championship season. There are some great teams here and some great competition and those that rise to the occasion usually have a phenomenal back end to the season and those that don't, those that struggle at this meet, well we know where their weaknesses and what we can do to prepare moving forward and on how to help our team on a conference and national level."
